If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know that I have been making a lot of changes in my life this year. In addition to those changes, I was also sick for quite a while. So I have been taking a look at my life and trying to figure out what will keep me healthy physically and mentally.
While my diet is not completely free of artificial ingredients now, my Lenten experiment was a good place to start. At the very least, I have given up artificial sweeteners for good! Hooray! So I started looking at other aspects of my life which lead to me deciding to eat for my blood type.
Basically, the idea of eating for your blood type involves eliminating certain foods that are not good for your blood type and eating the ones that are. I have blood type A. Following the Blood Type Diet for me includes giving up most meat. So I decided to go back to a mostly vegetarian diet. I use the word “mostly” because I still eat some seafood. I love Sushi. I just can’t give it up.
Now I know this might sound hokey to some people, but since doing this, I have had more energy. Since giving up meat all together little over two weeks ago, I have lost inches off my waist, arms, and legs without eating less. I haven’t forced any of my habits on my family, but my husband has also started eating more for his blood type as well.
I have had a lot of people ask me what I have been doing since I am definitely more active now, so I thought I would share. Honestly, I really do not miss the things that I should avoid, and I love having more energy. I highly recommend it to anyone who is feeling sluggish, worn down, and in need of change.
