Children's Party on a Budget
What I am about to say may sound strange coming from a party planner, but so be it. Just because you want to plan a party, does not mean you need to go broke in doing so. I know that it is hard when your kids want what their friend had for his birthday. There is a fine line between having a fun party and getting caught up in the greatest party ever competition that has preyed upon many parents.
There is a lot that kids have to deal with today at school. They want to fit in and have the same clothes, toys, haircut, and everything else that enables them to fit in with everyone else. Naturally, that extends to having a great birthday party too. The thing is that you don’t have to spend a fortune to show your child and her friends a fun time. You just need to be a bit creative, create a budget, and stick to it.
If you decide to have a party at a party place or with a party company, like me, look for coupons. Don’t be afraid to ask if they are having any specials. People do it to me all the time, and I am happy to help. Find out what all is included in the price.
If you want to do it at your place, sit down and figure out what you want to do. Do a little research online and get an estimate on how much it is going to cost you before you start buying. I know it sounds all like common sense, but I say all this because if you are busy like me, sometimes you forget things now and then.
If you are planning a party and are stuck, consider investing in a party games book. Amazon has a pretty good selection for every price range, and the best part is that you can use it over and over for other birthday parties or for other occasions as well.
I hope this helps you a bit in planning. If you ever get stuck or want some help planning your next party, please contact me even if you are not local. I work with people’s budgets and try to make sure your child can have a fun party without breaking the bank!
