Welcome to the Misfit Parent Community!

This is the story of a feral housewife and mom that knows what it’s like feel like they don’t fit in with everyone else!

Honestly, I probably wear too many hats, first of all: wife, mom, homeschooling parent, plus-size pin up model, autism parent, chronic illness activist, and let’s not forget the one that causes a stir…a nonbinary Christian!

I have four kids ranging from toddler to adult. Here I share about what life is like wearing all the hats and all the things I have learned along the way. My main focuses are family lifestyle, fashion, and funschooling…with a little bit of my faith journey thrown in for good measure.

My goal is to build a community of people from all walks of life. I want to help people find homeschool and parenting resources that fit their needs. I also strive to share personal stories about some of the issues in which I have struggled in hopes that others know they aren’t alone…plus help you feel fabulous along the way!

Collaborations

I have been blogging since 2010 and have used my experience in blogging and social media to build two blogs and a business. In addition, I built the social media for our town when we lived in PA, as well as taught area businesses how to grow their businesses with social media.

In my blog, I write stories about our lives, but I also do product reviews, ambassadorships, and sponsored posts.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with many brands. Some of the brands include:

NYX Cosmetics, The Coffee Beanery, Dia&Co, Adore Me, Lovevery, Wubble Ball, Teaching Textbooks, Cadbury, Leap Frog, Just Between Friends, Pediped, Osmo, and many, many, more!

My viewership includes mostly women ages 25-50. I have a wide range because I discuss parenting a toddler/preschooler as well as a tween and teen plus fashion and plus size lifestyle. My social media accounts are broken into two sections( @bearhavenmama and @prissymissydoll) that can complement or work separately from each other. Plus, they give a much wider reach for a campaign!
