When I saw that Math-U-See now offers Accelerated Individualized Mastery (AIM) for Addition and Subtraction, I immediately thought of trying this with my younger daughter. So many of my homeschool friends raved about Math-U-See and how it helped their children. Since my daughter wants to grasp addition and subtraction better, I knew this would be great for her!

Using the kit and the digital coursework pack, it provides tools to ensure mastery has been achieved and can be maintained.
The program begins with an assessment to ensure that this program is right for your student. The digital pack even gives a tutoral on how to administer the pack. Then using the kit and the digital course, your student can work at their own pace using proven strategies and manipulatives from the Math-U-See Curriculum.

How We Used this Program
My youngest has been working on addition and subtraction for a while. However, she needed a little help. I thought this Math-U-See product would be perfect to help her gain confidence in single digit addition and subtraction.
First, we went through the assessment. Then we started going through the lessons in the digital coursework. The 12 month access for the digital course contains lesson videos, instructions, and even printable resources to help master addition and subtraction. The little posters and flash cards included in the kit helped as well.
Because she goes at her own pace, this doesn’t cause her stress. Her traditional math lessons began to stress her out because she had not yet mastered addition and subtraction. She learns visually, so all of the components in this kit work to give her that visual stimulation she needs.
What We Like About Math-U-See
This has been my first experience with Math-U-See. I see why a lot of my friends use their programs. Everything is pretty well organized and easy to understand. Between the video component and the elements in the kit, my daughter and I have been able to work on her addition and subtraction skills with ease.
My other children struggle in other areas in mathematics. After seeing how this program works, I am considering trying out other programs to help my older children.

This is really nice. I hated math as a kid so something like this probably would have stirred my interest.
Math can be really challenging so I think this is a great way to help kids learn!
