Instructions:

  • Poke two holes in the top of the sign that allow the thick rope to pass through. Use a ruler to measure out equal distances for the holes.
  • Paint the back of the sign teal. Allow to dry.
  • Paint black and white brushstrokes to create an aged look. Allow to dry. Use a wire cutter to remove the pins from the small farmhouse sign to separate the metal piece. We will just use the metal piece. Use a wire cutter to trim down the pins; we will glue them back on and want them to lay flat.
  • Using your black sharpie and a ruler, draw lines across the sign to represent planks.
  • Hot glue the metal pins back on the metal sign.
  • Paint two arrows black.
  • Use E6000 to glue the small farmhouse sign to the center of the painted sign.
  • Hot glue small amounts of spanish moss to both sides of the small farmhouse sign.
  • Hot glue small flowers to the spanish moss.
  • Stick the black arrows to the sign, one on top and one on bottom of the small farmhouse sign, centered both horizontally and vertically. Use a ruler to measure this out.
  • Insert the rope through the holes in the top of the sign and tie off with knots.
  • Hang as a decoration or give as a gift.
