Basic School and Office Supplies

Of course, like most general supplies stores, Dollar Tree has a fair share of the basics. You can easily find pens, pencils, markers, crayons,  highlighters, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, pencil holders and cases, erasers, permanent markers, dry-erase markers, glue, binder pouches, notebooks, folders, filler paper, journals, index cards, sticky notes, dry erase boards, poster and foam boards, magnets, rulers, paper clips, scissors, tape, and more. You can also find backpacks and hand sanitizer for when your kids attend homeschool co-op, participate in extracurricular activities, or go on field trips.

Planners and Calendars

If you’re like me, you love having a planner and calendar on hand to stay organized. Maybe even multiple! Dollar Tree has some really cool and cute options for wall calendars, desk calendars, student planners, weekly planners, and monthly planners. They even have a selection of planner stickers for decorating your planners. And since they’re so cheap, every person in your family can have their own set of organizational stationery!

Workbooks and Reading Books

Another thing I really love about back-to-school shopping at Dollar Tree is that they have some great early education workbooks in stock. They’re an easy (and fun) way to help your little ones practice and master foundational concepts like colors, shapes, alphabet, and numbers. But they don’t stop there! They also have workbooks that dive into subjects like Geography, Science, Reading, Tables, Graphs & Fractions, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Sight Words, Handwriting, Word Problems, and more!

In addition to educational workbooks, you can also find educational books that explore topics like they also have a selection of Q & A books on subjects like space, sharks, the Presidents of the United States, the 50 States, Space, Ancient History, World History, Science, Animal World, and Planet Earth. They also have a selection of fiction children’s and young adult books.  books. These can be great for supplementing your homeschool curriculum or building your home library.

Flash Cards

Speaking of practicing concepts, Dollar Tree also has a variety of flashcards to help kids practice skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, letters, beginner words, addition, subtraction,  multiplication, division, phonics, and more! Some of them even come with 3 packs for $1.25. Can’t beat that!

Coloring & Activity Books

If your kids love coloring, mazes, and word puzzles, you’re in luck! Dollar Tree has an entire section devoted to coloring, activity, and puzzle books for kids and adults alike.  You can often find some that feature characters kids love, such as the Paw Patrol, Mickey Mouse, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Sesame Street, Marvel Avengers, DC superheroes, Vampirina, Trolls, Disney princesses, and more!

Puzzles & Games

Dollar Tree also has some cool puzzles and games that your kids can use for motor skill practice, rainy days, or just when they need to unwind a bit. You can find things like play-doh, clay, dice, blocks, mini board games, card games, and more.

Crafting Supplies

Dollar Tree has had crafting supplies for as long as I can remember, but they’ve really stepped their game up over the past couple of years! Now you can find things in their crafting section that you’d pay quite a bit more for at places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels. You can find paint supplies (acrylic paint, watercolor paint, paint brushes, palettes, canvases, etc), wood crafts (wooden crates, bird houses, chalk boards, trays, etc), metal crafts, fabric and yarn crafts (yarns, fabric rolls, felts, crochet hooks, knitting needles, embroidery threads paper crafts, etc) vinyl, jewels, beads, craft containers, foam crafts, and so much more. You can also find crafting basics like glitter, beads, feathers, craft sticks, sewing kits, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, foam shapes, pom poms,

  1. I’m like you, The Dollar Tree has some great prices! They might have gone up in a little in their prices, but you can find some great bargains and there’s a lot to choose from!!!!

  2. I love shopping at the Dollar Tree store and you can really save some money there especially doing back to school shopping. I am not happy at all that they raised their prices by 25% though and many of the items in the store are way more than that and you don’t know it until you get up to the register as they are not marked.

  3. Dollar Tree is the best! Their variety of products can’t be beat. It’s always like a treasure hunt when I shop there.
