Why you want to see Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
If you play the tabletop roleplaying game of Dungeons & Dragons, like me, then you probably have been waiting for this to come out and have been checking the reviews. It’s based in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. I know many of us are curious to see if the film captures the spirit of our own roleplaying adventures!
However, even if you don’t play, but love fantasy, you will still find the world and plot entertaining…
For some of you though, the draw is simply that the movie has Regé-Jean Page, the cutie from Bridgerton season 1 (and also Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head and Hugh Grant). Totally not judging you at all on this either!
Why I am excited
So I have been super excited for this film because the talk about the movie and the trailers made me feel this would capture some of the feel for D&D campaigns I have played over the years. My husband introduced me to Dungeons & Dragons back when we were exchange students at a university in Lublin, Poland. I have been playing over 20 years. My older kids play. D&D kept me going when our world completely changed three years ago.
Part of me hopes that the movie might get some new people to want to play because I love sharing my geeky tendencies with others!
