I love seeing the Holderness YouTube videos, and they seem like an interesting couple. Recently, Kim and Penn Holderness came out with the book: Everybody Fights: So Why Not Get Better At It? I was gifted a copy for my honest review, so I wanted to take a moment and share my thoughts about this book!

About the Book

Everybody Fights uses humor and authenticity by the Holderness’ to share tips on how to engage in an argument without having hard feelings and resentment when it is over. They used their own marriage coach, Dr. Christopher Edmonston, to help explain.

In this book, you will learn how to:

  • use “magic words” to navigate conflict
  • break free of secret contracts
  • banish the three Ds—distraction, denial, and delay
  • carry their own individual baggage while helping each other deal with theirs

Essentially, the book gives techniques to argue and discuss issues in a way that can bring couples closer instead of leaving one or both parties feeling salty when it is done.

My Thoughts About the Book

After reading this book, I decided my husband should read it as well. I really liked how candid they were and authentic as well. They broke everything down really well, and I definitely learned some tips.

I mean we all fight in relationships. I have been married for almost 19 years, and we have definitely have had our share of arguments over the years. Personally, I think it is a great read for any couple!

Also, The Holderness’ did a trailer for the book, and you have to see it! It is hilarious!
