Hot cocoa bars are a great idea for a cozy get-together or play date! We recently hosted a play date with a hot cocoa bar and some fun winter crafts. The kids had a blast creating their own hot cocoa bar creations! If you don’t know where to start, I totally got you covered and even included a free printable decor pack, plus links if you don’t have time to print your own signs and decor!
Hot Cocoa Bar Planning Basics
When planning a hot cocoa bar, first start by figuring out how many people are coming to your event. You definitely want to make sure you have enough hot cocoa for everyone. I also like to make sure I know if anyone has any allergies when planning events. I ensure I have snacks and hot cocoa they can drink. My last get-together, we had a few people with a few different food allergies. I searched online for a hot cocoa pack that accommodated them. I also made paleo brownies to accommodate all of those food allergies.
Once I covered that, I checked my supplies and ordered fun toppings for the hot cocoa bar, like sprinkles, marshmallows, candy spoons, and a few other basics. I also made sure to have my electric kettle handy. If you don’t have an electric kettle, I found an easy-to-use one on Amazon. Just click here to grab yours!
Signage
To elevate your hot cocoa bar, signage is a must! If you lack time or a printer to print out my free printable signage, I found an affordable and easy-to-use set on Amazon (click here).
