One of my favorite things about the holidays is making treats and baking with my kids! One of my favorite treats to make is Muddy Buddies, also known as Puppy Chow! You may have even seen my original Puppy Chow recipe from long ago! I figured it was time to give one of my holiday faves an upgrade, so please enjoy making this Double Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow) with your family!
A Little Bit About Cooking and Baking with Kids
My family loves to bake and make fun treats for the holidays! We also make extras to share with neighbors and friends. However, I know for some parents, time in the kitchen with kids can be a bit stressful. So, let’s talk about that for a minute.
When cooking in the kitchen with kids, it often best to lower your expectations. Things will go wrong. You will make a mess. However, focus on the enjoyment. Messes can be cleaned later!
Also, make sure you have extra ingredients when cooking and baking with younger children. That way if you have a disaster, you always have back up ingredients.
Double Peanut Butter Puppy Chow

I love this recipe! I’m from the Midwest and I’m very familiar with Puppy Chow. The additional peanut butter will add extra flavor and richness.
