A bit about the movie Sing 2

Coming to theaters on December 22! This holiday season, the new chapter in Illumination’s smash animated franchise arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon, and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …all in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by global music icon Bono, in his animated film debut—to join them. Rated PG

Our Review of Sing 2, the Movie

If you are looking for a movie the whole family can watch, this movie fits the bill. Kids will love the animation. Parents will love the humor. All of you will enjoy the fabulous soundtrack to this film!

My daughter absolutely loved Sing, which was why we were excited to review this film. To be honest, she must have played the movie every day for a good month or two. On the upside, I loved the songs, so it was all good. Pretty sure that once it is available to stream, we will be doing that again!

What Penelope Liked

Penelope loved that all her favorite characters were in the sequel. She thought it was funny. Plus, she was happy that she knew most of the songs. The kid loves music, so that is important to her.

What I loved

This is actually one of my favorite films I have seen in a while. I am always hesitant about sequals. However, the story line was unique. I thought Buster Moon had some growth from the last film, even if he did tell a bit of a lie. That lie becomes an important plotline of the film. I also liked seeing the growth of the other characters as well. The movie was really funny, and I really loved the music. It also stirred emotions…and while I am not gonna spoil things, I cried towards the end.
