For kids, Halloween is an absolute blast with all the costumes, trick or treating, parties, and other fun. However, for kids with food allergies, they often miss out on some of the fun. That is why the Teal Pumpkin project exists, and today I am sharing some printables to help those of you that want to make sure that kids with food allergies get treats too!
Living with Food Allergies
As someone with multiple food allergies, I can honestly tell you that it isn’t fun missing out on things because of them. Four years ago, I received my food allergy diagnosis of soy, gluten, and dairy allergies.. I can’t imagine trying to navigate childhood with all of them. Heck, I struggle to navigate them as an adult.
Why I love the idea of the Teal Pumpkin Project
The idea of places being allergy friendly to kids with food allergies is a fantastic idea. I know not everyone has the means to provide both types of treats. However, those that are able to make it so that everyone is included on the Halloween fun! Bringing happiness to kids makes me happy, and I want to help those who want to help the cause!
