Pumpkin Spice…either you love it this time of year or you hate it. Personally, I live in a house divided. I am actually team apple cider, but we have some pumpkin spice lovers here too. So, to keep peace in our family, I like to cater to everyone’s likes…granted when it comes to football on the other hand…keeping the peace doesn’t exist! And this is how I am sharing how to make Pumpkin Spice Fried Oreos here!
Finding New Fall Favorites!
I love fall, and part of that love is adding new things for the family to try. Those things include new activities, new foods, and new shows to add to our list of Spooky Season fun. Fall is one of my favorite times of year and a season that is full of so many wonderful things to see, do, and eat! If you are like me, then I hope you enjoy this recipe and have fun making it with your family! (I am keeping it short and sweet because we all know that you don’t want me rambling…you want the recipe)
Pumpkin Spice Fried Oreos
Ingredients:
Pumpkin Spice Oreos
1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
2 C. Bisquick
½ C. Pumpkin Puree
1 Lg egg
¾ C. Milk
Vegetable Oil
Optional: dust with powdered sugar
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk Bisquick and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
Add egg and pumpkin puree and begin to mix.
Drizzle in milk as you continue to mix.
Batter should be a consistency of pancake mix.
Set aside.
Add about 2-3 inches of oil into a deep pan/pot.
Heat oil to 350° F.
Drop an Oreo into the batter, coating the entire thing. Using a fork, lift up the battered Oreo and let any excess run off.
Carefully and quickly, drop the battered Oreo into the oil.
Add more, in batches.
Allow to cook for 15-20 seconds, until golden brown.
Carefully flip over, using the fork or wire strainer spoon.
Cook for 15-20 seconds on that side, until golden brown.
Carefully lift each cooked Oreo out of the oil, letting excess oil drip off and add to a plate lined with paper towels or brown bag to soak up any excess oil.
Once cooled, transfer to wire cooling rack.
Makes 24 fried Oreos
Serving Size: 1
Number of Servings: 24
Prep Time: 20-30 min.
