If you know me, you know I love to share ideas of creating long-lasting family memories with your kids! Music, for me, has always been about memories. I bring out certain holiday albums every year to share with my kids that remind me of my favorite memories with my mom as a kid! Some of my favorite memories of decorating the tree or making cookies include the music my mom played during the Christmas season. I want my kids to have that same feeling 20, 30 years from now!
What I Love About A Charlie Brown Christmas
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” has been part of my must see Christmas specials since I was really little! Granted, I have always been a huge Peanuts fan! My school library had a pretty awesome collection of all the comics in multiple volumes. I checked out all of them, several times in fact. I loved the music in the Christmas special and have played some of the songs around Christmas time in my shop in the past, when owning a children’s toy store was part of my life.
What I didn’t know is that the soundtrack album remains the second best-selling jazz title in history! Vince Guaraldi’s, one of America’s most successful jazz artists of the 20th century, legacy is largely tied to his musical scores with the Peanuts specials. As someone who loves music and even minored in it, I thought that was kinda cool!
