What’s New With Teaching Textbooks 4.0?

Teaching Textbooks 4.0 gives homeschoolers a fun, interactive experience for learning math. Not does the app work for tablets, desktops, laptops, and phones, but it also works when not connected to the internet. It gives your child the ability to learn math anywhere and anytime!

Teaching Textbooks 4.0 also has a lot of new features in its program that are quite helpful as well.

For Kids:

The all-new scratch pad mode – This allows your child to work out their problems and for you as a parent to be able to see it.

Automated Grading – Not only does automated grading help parents, it helps students by giving instant feedback to help them keep moving forward confidently.

Hints and Second Chances – Hints and second chances are included in the math program as a way to encourage students in real-time as they are working on their math. These hints and second chances act as a help to students who may struggle with a concept.

Offline Capability – Let children take their work wherever life takes them with the offline mode that can let them do lessons without an internet connection for up to six lessons.

Sticker Books and Stickers – Stickers are earned as a student completes their work and gives a fun element to daily math lessons that inspire children to keep moving forward as they work to collect the various stickers.

Step by Step Audiovisual Solutions – TT has solutions for every problem in every grade level. These audiovisual solutions are like a tutor at the press of a button.

Designed for Mobile Use – TT can be used on a variety of devices including phones, computers, tablets, and more! This means you truly can do math anywhere!

Also, there is a new search feature to look up things. Plus, the audio and animations have all been remastered.

For Parents:

Teaching Textbooks made its program very hands-free for parents. They have made a lot of strides in making it so that parents don’t have to worry about anything at all when their children are using their program

One feature that is coming soon is that progress will be emailed daily. The emails show the lessons completed and the scores. Plus, they contain other vital information like course pauses or achievements.

Also, there are some great changes to the parenting portal! With the parent portal, you can log into any browser without downloading the app and check grade information. Also, you can see what work was completed, and even pause the enrollments if needed. You can see a course average for each child, as well as a visual to see when each assignment has been completed.

For those of parents wanting to assign a grade, the new 4.0 has added a cumulative grade point average so you can see at a glance how your child is doing.

Finally,  they added a Tutor Hotline. If a child is struggling with their math and parents need added support, Teaching Textbooks has a tutor hotline parents can call for free to receive additional help.

What I love About Teaching Textbooks

As a homeschooling mom of 4 kids, ranging from 0-18, I am always looking for ways to make sure my kids are getting what they need from a curriculum. However, I also want to make sure that I am not spending my whole day teaching either. This is especially important as I also work from home and am taking care of an infant, who is very quick and into everything currently!

With Teaching Textbooks, the only thing I really need to do is to tell my son what lessons I want him to complete during the week and then check to make sure he did them. If he has questions, I try to answer them. However, Teaching Textbooks makes finding answers easier now that we can search our questions in the e-book. Essentially, all of my kids could be doing math all at the same time, and I could be putting the baby down for a nap or chasing him all over the house without worrying about homeschool!

What My Son Loves About Teaching Textbooks

Teaching Textbooks has been my oldest’s favorite math curriculum by far. He has always loved how interactive it is, and it just makes sense for him.

With Teaching Textbooks 4.0, he loves how much easier it is to do math anywhere. He usually uses his smartphone to do his lessons. However, he has been staying at his Nana’s off a bit this spring to help at the farm. Because of that, he has been doing schoolwork on his own. Teaching Textbooks made it easy for him to take his math work with him. When the weather is nice, he sits outside or goes off into nature to do lessons. However, sometimes, he finds himself finding a quiet spot in her house or the camper out back to do his lessons. The best part is that I can always see what he is doing too!

The Wrap Up

If you are looking for a homeschool math curriculum that takes the stress out of planning and grading, plus makes it fun for kids to learn, Teaching Textbooks 4.0 is definitely worth a look! Also, you can always try Teaching Textbooks for free to decide if it is the right fit for your family!

  1. This looks like a fantastic program! My granddaughter is having a hard time with math, and since that was my weakest subject, too, it’s difficult to help her.

  2. We just found Teaching Textbooks this past year after 2 years of struggling with other Math programs. It really clicked with my son. He loved the interface and the animations. Those completely motivated him to keep going. He asked to do Math instead of running from it everyday.

  3. going to share this with my niece her son did not do good in math at all last year. He was doing his classes online and I guess math does not work when you are right there with the teacher. He had to go to summer school but still did not catch up………. This might help
