Our family loves to play games on family fun night, which is why we were excited to try out the “Mind The Gap” game when gifted a copy for us to review. “Mind the Gap” is a multi-generational trivia game designed to bring people together. It makes for a lot of fun!
What is Mind the Gap?
Mind The Gap is a multi-generational trivia board game for ages 10-up. The game can be played in teams or single players. You have generations work together or against each other. It is all up to you!
This game by Solid Roots was designed for two or more players. However, it is more fun with more players. Essentially, you work in even teams. Each team starts on its generational space. The goal is whoever makes it around the board first wins! After rolling dice, the teams answer trivia questions about TV/Film, Pop Culture, Music, Headlines, and Slang/Slogans. If the team gets their question right, they get to move ahead. If they answer wrong, they have to wait until their turn again. Spaces with a Star indicates a Challenge Card, and they have to do the challenge correctly to move forward.
Whoever wins is crowned the Greatest Generation!
What We Love About this Game!
The kids and I love trivia, so this game sounded like a lot of fun! The representation of four generations makes this a fun game to play with kids, parents, and grandparents. When we get a grandparent involved, we have four generations covered between me, my husband, and the two older kids.
This game makes for a fun way to get to know more about each others’ generations. It makes for a lot of laughs and interesting discussions. That is something I love about our family fun nights. I love when we get to know something new about one another.
